About Our Glamping Yurts

Are you planning a trip to Southern Utah and looking for the best accommodations after long days of exploring? Combine your love of camping with a hint of luxury and enjoy glamping in the yurts at East Zion Resort.

What is a Yurt?

A yurt is similar to a tent but round in shape, made with a wooden structure covered in fabric, and resembles a hybrid between a tent, hut, and house.

Yurts are a traditional semi-temporary shelter originating in Central Asia. Nomadic people moved around in search of food and water and needed protection from wild animals at night. The yurt provided protection and was easy to assemble and tear down when it was time to move again.

In modern days, yurts have become one of the most popular choices for glamping accommodations globally.

East Zion Resort yurts have modern amenities, bathrooms, and functional kitchens, so you can fuel up and rest your head before exploring another national park.

Glamping Yurt Amenities

Our yurts are situated on the picturesque hillside of East Zion Resort. Guests will find everything they need for an unforgettable glamping experience. Each yurt is fully modernized with electricity, air conditioning, and heat so that you can sleep comfortably no matter the weather.

Amenities include a microwave, coffeemaker, two-burner electric stove, small refrigerator and freezer, dishes, and pots and pans–everything you may need to prepare meals at base camp. The yurts also have an attached but separate bathroom area with hot and cold running water, a toilet, and a unique shower you need to experience.

Plenty of windows and double doors lead to a deck and a patio overlooking the beautiful mountains, trees, and town below.

Enjoy a peaceful evening grilling on the propane grill, or take a walk down and soak in the pool and hot tub after a long day of exploring the parks.

Accommodation Limits

Sleeping arrangements in our glamping yurts include two king beds and a sofa bed in our larger yurts for up to 5 guests or one king bed and a sofa bed/sitting area in our smaller yurts for up to 4 guests.

Yurt 7 is now forever etched into my heart. It is by far the cutest place we’ve stayed at. The yurt was exceptionally clean. The beds were massive, and so comfortable, like clouds, the views were incredibly breathtaking, and the night sky was every stargazer’s dream. I can’t wait to come back!
